In an exclusive interview presented by The Inside Bet, in collaboration with Affiliate Roulette, we had the privilege of conversing with Alice Suraeva, Senior Affiliate Manager at KNG Partners. Edward: Could you please share your background and how you initially entered the iGaming industry?

I entered the Gaming industry in 2016. My first job was German Content writer but I quickly realised that Sales and Affiliate Marketing excites me the most! I started out as a Junior and here we go almost 8 years later I still enjoy working in Affiliate Marketing!

Edward: Reflecting on your journey from your entry into the industry to where we are today, what are the most significant concerns you have regarding the iGaming sector?

I saw the Gaming Industry going through so many changes in the past years! I believe my biggest concern would be the loss of brand identity. I truly think that long term results, performance and brand recognition! Those are the keys to success in this business. Many new casino brands pop up, however they also disappear in a split second. It is very important to have a concept and a team that can proudly represent and enjoy working with a brand that has a concept. Otherwise you’re just “another new casino” on the market.

Edward: What are some of the biggest challenges you face as an iGaming Affiliate Manager? In your opinion, what are some effective strategies or tools that could help overcome these challenges? For example, how do you distinguish legitimate affiliates from the fraudulent ones?

We as Affiliate Managers have to learn to build Partnerships. I believe in long term relationships with valuable partners. Unfortunately there are a lot of “new kids” as in “affiliates” on the block, that don’t have mutual interest in making profit together. This usually ends in a very short partnership, since both parties have to be happy. I believe finding those Affiliates with the same mindset is challenging nowadays.

Edward: When evaluating potential affiliates, what is your perspective on verifying an affiliate’s past performance? Do you rely on screenshots they provide, or do you have other methods of assessment in place?

I believe in testing. We have to test how the traffic performs. All Affiliates that understand the Igaming Business very well, have absolutely no issues with doing such practice.

Edward: It appears that many affiliates are now requesting listing fees and high CPA’s, which seem to have become an industry standard. Do you find it difficult to determine who can justify the fees they charge and who overpromises and under delivers?

I totally understand that Fee’s are covering certain costs and covering certain positions – however everything has to be reasonable. Affiliates that know that their traffic is worth it will always adjust their prices – it has to be a fair game for both parties. Yet again its all about a long- term partnership not short – term .

Edward: How do you think a platform like Affiliate Roulette can benefit affiliate managers in the iGaming industry? Can you share any experiences or insights on how Affiliate Roulette has influenced your approach to affiliate management?

I believe this is a great way to connect with affiliates! Probably also very convenient for both since skype is over flooded with messages most of the time.

Edward: In closing, what would you like to see offered from Affiliate Roulette that would help you have outstanding performance in 2024?
